Privacy

We collect almost nothing. The short version: no cookies, no tracking, no personal data leaves your browser.

What we collect

Page views via Plausible Analytics, a privacy-first analytics tool. Plausible does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and is GDPR / CCPA / PECR compliant. No consent banner is needed.

Plausible logs only aggregate counts: page views, referrer, browser type, operating system, device type, and country. No individual visitor can be identified from this data.

Cookies

The site does not set any cookies. A single localStorage item stores your dark-mode preference; it never leaves your browser.

Third-party services

  • Cloudflare — hosting and CDN. Cloudflare may process standard connection data (IP address, request headers) for security purposes.
  • Plausible Analytics — privacy-first, cookie-free.
  • Indian Type Foundry / Google Fonts — font delivery. Both may log IP addresses for font requests.

AI in editorial

Pieces are co-authored with Claude (Anthropic) and reviewed by the editorial team. No reader data is shared with AI services in this process.

Affiliate links

Some pieces contain affiliate links. They are disclosed where they appear. We earn a small commission if you purchase through them, at no extra cost.

Retention

Aggregate analytics data is retained for 2 years. No personal data is stored or retained anywhere.

Your rights

Since we do not collect personal data, there is no personal data to access, modify, or delete. Questions: hello@decryptd.co.
